Young Jakartans who are tired of the big names and unsatisfied with their services, now approach Watermark to make their invitations. Not only Watermark brings in fresh approach of invitation designs with unique graphic design skills, they also source different paperies from US and all over. Galleria Cards

The Galleria Card girls are so nice and friendly! They design and print the cards themselves so they are very hands-on with their work. They have helped me made several cards for different occasions and also my 'sanjit' (wedding gift exchange) boxes and I'm always very happy with the results.

Shanghai Tang

A favorite stop in Hong Kong on Pedder St is Shanghai Tang. It has many chinese-inspired modern clothing and I love walking into the traditional custom-make area. It looks quite authentic with rolls of fabrics and of course, the custom cheongsam is for the Tai-tais who can afford their prices. I head its quite well-worth the prices as the tailoring is close to perfect. They have this beautiful wedding cheongsam dress displayed for 3 years and counting... but it will never go out of style. Dare I asked the price tag? Its more than Usd10,000 for sure.

Shades of Purple

Previously when I thought of purple, I thought of Barneys... ugh. But after awhile, lilac color grows on me. Its such a sweet color, close to pink.
My friend, Myrna, featured in the issue, is well-known to love purple and I love how she incorporated the colors in her wedding reception. She made purple a classic color.

Hair raising

What can I say? Indonesians have a flair for drama when it comes to weddings and events. We go over out top for the dress and even our hair!
Here's some beautiful pictures found from Bazaar Wedding Ideas Indonesia.

Flapper Bride

I have to say that I really like Bazaar Wedding Ideas Indonesia. I had purchased many countries bridal magazines - US, UK, Australia, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong, but yet, it was from Indonesia that I find they have the most dramatic wedding decor.
Here's some flapper-inspired dresses from Biyan (fave local designer!) and House of Irsan
